BFS News for February 26, 2018

posted Feb 26, 2018, 6:09 AM by Forgotten Sea

Announcements:

  • Royal Pavilion Floor: Our portion is complete, and was presented at Chieftains on Saturday. Many thanks to everyone who helped paint our portion of the new Royal Pavilion floor! Thanks, also, to Mistress Mirabel Wynne for hosting!
  • Tor Tuesday: Aston Tor is taking donations of alcohol or money for the party they host at Lilies. If you would like to donate, please see Their Excellencies Forgotten Sea.
  • Award Recommendations: Unslung Heroes is coming up soon. If there is someone you have seen doing something worthy of recognition, submit an award recommendation! Don't assume that someone already has an award; check the OP. You need not be a member of an order to recommend somebody for it. Submit Kingdom-level award recommendations at http://awardrec.calontir.org/.  Submit Baronial award recommendations at http://www.bfs-kc.org/about/award-recommendation.
  • Preprints: As mentioned above, Unslung Heroes is coming up soon. If you are interested in helping paint Baronial preprints, please contact Baroness Ayisha bint Asad, or see her at the Wednesday fighter practice - she will have some with her there. (Some of the designs require very little painting; if you have not painted preprints before, but are interested, this is a low-commitment way to try it out.)

Upcoming activities:

  • Mon Feb 26, 6:30pm - 8:30pm Loch Bheathrach/BFS Archery Practice at the Kearney site. (Contact Master Lief of Crescent Moon for more information, lbh-archery@bfs-kc.org)
  • Wed Feb 28, 6pm - 9pm BFS Fighter Practice at the Irene B. French Community Center, 5701 Merriam Dr, Merriam, KS 66203. (C&T fighters, please wear non-marking shoes.)
  • Thurs Mar 1, 6:30pm - 8pm Roll of Arms project worknight at the Johnson County Library, Corinth branch, 8100 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS 66208

  • Mar 10-18 - Gulf Wars, Gleann Abhann (Lumberton, MS)
  • Mar 24-25 - Hibernates Interruptis, Westumbria (Great Bend, KS)
